Meet Our Founders
A Father-Son Team Committed to Better Care
Greg Adair founded Affordable Home Care in 1989. A U.S. military veteran, Greg went on to run nursing homes after his service—and what he witnessed there changed everything. Patients shuffling through halls, moaning and crying, with sometimes just one aide caring for twenty people at a time.
"I knew my own mother and father could not get the care they deserved in an institutional setting," Greg recalls. "That's when I knew there had to be a better way."
He discovered that in-home care could eliminate the fear and confusion of nursing homes while allowing families to maintain healthy relationships without the stresses of caregiving weighing them down.
In 2006, Greg's son Austin Adair joined the family business, continuing the legacy his father built. Today, Austin leads the company, ensuring that the same values of compassion and quality care that Greg established remain at the heart of everything they do. Learn more about Austin's story →
Together, this father-son team has grown Affordable Home Care into one of the oldest and largest home care agencies in Southeast Michigan—built on family values, for your family.
Care Oversight Team
Behind every care plan we build is a quiet team — an MHA-credentialed operations leader, a Certified Dementia Care Practitioner, and a Registered Nurse — who guide our local team on care-plan structure, dementia approach, and clinical questions. The hands-on care is always delivered by our local Southeast Michigan caregivers, who are held to the caregiver standard we publish openly.
