Our Services
What Our Companions Do
Companion caregivers keep seniors engaged, active, and connected — sharing meals and conversation, driving to appointments and social outings, running errands and grocery trips, playing cards or reading aloud, and providing the steady presence that keeps a home feeling lived-in rather than lonely across a normal week in Southeast Michigan.
Benefits
The Benefits of Companion Care
Regular companionship has measurable benefits for older adults — reducing loneliness and depression, sharpening cognition through conversation, improving nutrition when meals are shared, encouraging gentle physical activity, and giving families the confidence that someone is checking in reliably. Isolation is one of the strongest predictors of decline; companion care directly reverses it.

The Loneliness Epidemic
Why Senior Companionship Matters
Loneliness is not a soft problem — it carries the same mortality risk as smoking fifteen cigarettes a day. Roughly 43% of older adults report chronic loneliness, socially isolated seniors face a 50% higher dementia risk, and isolation raises heart-disease risk by 29%. Consistent companionship measurably reverses those trajectories.

Facility Settings
Companion Care Inside a Facility
Companion care is not only for private homes. We also serve clients living in independent living, assisted living, memory care, and short-stay rehab — families who are already paying a facility and still find no one present during the hours that matter most.
- Independent living: residents are private tenants, so our caregivers provide full service, including hands-on personal care.
- Assisted living, memory care, and short-stay rehab: supervision, companionship, and standby presence only. The community holds the license and owns all hands-on care; our caregiver sits with your loved one, redirects agitation, escorts to meals, keeps the call light in reach, and alerts facility staff.
The same scheduling minimums apply in a facility as in a private home: a 4-hour minimum per visit and 12 hours per week. Before the first shift we confirm the community's outside-provider policy in writing and introduce ourselves to the executive director and care director, so our caregiver works alongside the staff rather than around them.
