- Open to SE Michigan residents enrolled in a CNA or HHA program
- Recipient announced each year on September 30th
Our Standard
What You'll Go Through Before Your First Shift
We take the process seriously — because the families who trust us are counting on it.
- Criminal background check and pre-hire drug test
- Current TB test (within one year of hire)
- Direct reference verification and six months of experience confirmation
- A behavioral interview — we want to know how you think in real situations, not just what you've done
- Comprehensive training: care standards, safety protocols, and our care management tools
- Real-time skills assessment with a Registered Nurse — core hands-on skills are verified before your first client match, not just self-reported
- Motor vehicle records check and proof of insurance (for driving roles)
Career Path
Where This Can Take You
At most agencies, every caregiver is on the same track. Here, exceptional caregivers have a path.
The Care Pro Lead Program
Care Pro Leads are our elite tier — selected based on performance, clinical skill, and professional reliability. In most new cases, a Care Pro Lead starts the client relationship, learns the care picture in detail, and performs a structured Warm Handoff to the ongoing caregiver before stepping back.
Care Pro Leads maintain set availability and serve as the first call for unexpected coverage gaps — meaning the person who walks through the door in an urgent scenario is one of our most experienced caregivers.
If you are the kind of caregiver who takes this work seriously, let us know you are interested in the Care Pro Lead pathway when you apply.

Caregiver FAQ
Common Questions From Caregivers
What is a Care Pro Lead and can I become one?
A Care Pro Lead is one of our highest-performing caregivers who starts most new cases for the first 72 hours and performs a structured Warm Handoff to the ongoing caregiver. The role is earned through performance, reliability, and clinical skill — not tenure. You can indicate interest in the Care Pro Lead pathway when you apply.
What is the standard you would hold me to as a caregiver?
Our caregiver standard is published openly. Every caregiver completes a background check, drug screen, TB test, reference verification, behavioral interview, and a real-time skills verification with a Registered Nurse before their first shift. After hire, every caregiver has 24/7 access to a live support line including an RN and Certified Dementia Care Practitioner.
