Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Affordable Home Care website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Description of Services
Affordable Home Care provides in-home care services including personal care, companion care, respite care, and specialized care for clients in Southeast Michigan. All services are provided in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.
Client Responsibilities
As a client or authorized representative, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about care needs
- Maintain a safe environment for caregivers
- Notify us promptly of any changes in care needs or schedule
- Treat our caregivers with respect and dignity
- Pay for services according to agreed-upon terms
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Caregiver Employment
All caregivers are employees of Affordable Home Care. Clients agree not to directly hire our caregivers during or within 12 months after the termination of services without our written consent. A placement fee may apply if this provision is violated.
Payment Terms
Payment for services is due according to the terms outlined in your service agreement. We reserve the right to:
- Require payment in advance for new clients
- Charge late fees for overdue payments
- Suspend services for non-payment
- Pursue collection of unpaid balances
Cancellation Policy
We require 24 hours' notice for cancellation of scheduled visits. Visits cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. Emergency situations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Limitation of Liability
While we strive to provide the highest quality care, Affordable Home Care shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services during the relevant period.
Insurance
Affordable Home Care maintains comprehensive liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage for all caregivers. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
Termination
Either party may terminate services with appropriate notice as specified in the service agreement. We reserve the right to immediately terminate services if there is a safety concern or violation of these terms.
Website Use
When using our website, you agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Transmit any harmful code or malware
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the site
- Copy or reproduce content without permission
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Affordable Home Care and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
